Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Lancaster, PA

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $20–$25/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus – Lancaster, PA

Abound Health is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Responsibilities include:

  • Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
  • Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
  • Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
  • Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
  • Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
  • Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external partners
  • Complete documentation and maintain schedules
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
  • Willingness to assist with personal care needs when necessary
  • Ability to lift as required based on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — paid training is provided.

Pay & Signing Bonus

  • Starting Pay: $20–$25/hour
  • Signing Bonus: $1,000 paid in 3 installments when averaging full-time hours
