We are actively seeking Caregivers and Direct Support Professionals to provide Supported Employment services to our clients in the Winston-Salem area. Part-Time and Full-Time hours are available. In this role, you will provide our clients with assistance in seeking, obtaining, and maintaining meaningful employment, whether that is with a business in the community or via self-employment.

Job Coach Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a trusting and positive relationship with each individual
- Ensure individuals needs and desires are met by goals and objectives in an individual’s plan
- Act as an advocate to/for individuals served and encourage individuals to advocate for themselves when seeking employment
- Observe and identify areas where an individual can increase independence or improve performance regarding a work-related tasks
- Ensure that all work required by the employer is completed satisfactorily (to the employer’s standards) and efficiently (within specified time frame)
- Assist and assure that the individual adheres to the policies and procedures of his/her individual workplace
- Ensure that the individual is working as independently as possible and that positive program practices are being utilized
- Utilize and develop adaptive equipment and other tools to assist the individual in learning the key elements of his/her job
- Bring all necessary materials to each specific work site (including but not limited to any adaptive equipment kept at the Abound office)
- Ensure that individuals are following all safety guidelines established by Abound as well as the individual job site
- Attend and participate in any and all training (informational, safety, etc.) provided by Abound.
- facilitate communication between Abound, the individual and the individual’s employer
- Work to facilitate accurate communication and the inclusion of the individuals into his/her workplace environment by way of appropriate interactions with co-workers
- Communicate with other Abound team members on a daily basis as well as during staff meetings regarding changes or updates for each individual supported
- Communicate appropriately and effectively with a variety of parties involved in the employment process – including but not limited to group home workers, case managers, Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, social workers and parents. (With consent from the LRP)
- Provide support to the individual outside of work, as needed, ensuring that the individual has the available resources to maintain his/her job – including but not limited to practicing work-related tasks, arranging transportation, reviewing professional responsibilities and/or providing supportive counseling on personal issues that may affect job performance
- Work in a team atmosphere contributing ideas and suggestions and being open to ideas and suggestions of others
- Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational realms
- Maintain a schedule of services/activities in a treatment plan
- Monitor and report on status of health and safety objectives
- Complete documentation of activities and significant events
- Submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines
- Complete initial and ongoing training and staff development activities
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary (depending on the case)
- Lifting may be required depending on individual client needs

**$1000 Signing Bonus Details:
- $333 paid out after working 90 days with an average of 20 hours per week
- $333 paid out after working 6 months (180 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
- $334 paid out after working 1 year (365 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
- Applicant cannot have been employed by Abound Health (or any of our newly acquired companies) in the past 18 months
- Signing bonus not applicable for Residential Services
- Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the Signing Bonus
