Group Direct Support Professional - Mooresville Day Program

Department: Caregiver/Direct Support Professional
Location: Mooresville, NC

*****$1,000 Signing Bonus Available!*****

We are actively seeking Direct Support Professionals to work with our clients in our Day Program in Mooresville, NC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of individuals living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as they take part in community activities and events, develop new skills in instructor-led sessions, and meet their short- and long-range goals. This position requires the ability to transport clients to various locations in your own vehicle - mileage reimbursement will be provided.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational realms
  • Assist client participation in leisure/recreational activities
  • Maintain a schedule of services/activities in a treatment plan and report on status of health and safety objectives
  • Provide respite and companionship to offer relief to family or primary caregiver
  • Complete and submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines
  • Complete initial and ongoing training and staff development activities
  • Ability to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to work independently in the community and/or the client’s home
  • Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary, based on individual client needs
  • Passion and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) is preferred

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
  • Lifting may be required depending on individual client needs
  • CPR/First Aid Certification Training is provided by company

**$1000 Signing Bonus Details:

  • $333 paid out after working 90 days with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $333 paid out after working 6 months (180 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $334 paid out after working 1 year (365 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • Applicant cannot have been employed by Abound Health (or any of our newly acquired companies) in the past 18 months
  • Signing bonus not applicable for Residential Services
  • Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the Signing Bonus
