Job Overview

Abound Health is currently looking for a caring and dedicated Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to adults with intellectual disabilities in their home and community settings.

We are looking for weekend DSPs to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily living activities and personal care tasks.
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Provide meal preparation and assistance with nutritional needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
  • Uphold resident rights and promote a positive living environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in caregiving, nursing home, or direct support roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with systems for home and community care.
  • Ability to lift and assist residents as needed.
  • Comfortable working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.

Job Type: Part-Time and Full-Time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20+ per week

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 2 years (Preferred)

Shift Availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

*$1000 Signing Bonus Details

  • $333 paid out after working 90 days with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $333 paid out after working 6 months (180 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $334 paid out after working 1 year (365 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • Applicant cannot have been employed by Abound Health (or any of our newly acquired companies) in the past 18 months
  • Signing bonus not applicable for Residential Services
  • Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the Signing Bonus
