Assistant Program Director

Department: Abound Health PA
Location: Mercer, PA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Program Director is responsible for upholding Abound Health, LLC’s mission, vision and values by providing support, services, education and compassion to Clients receiving Pennsylvania Waiver or Base Funded Services.

  • Coordinate, schedule and prepare Program Director for meetings, as needed
  • Conduct meetings and provide company representation as needed
  • Supervise activities and programs, as needed
  • Assist with compliance oversight of all programs, as directed by the Program Director
  • Assist with Incident Management
  • Assist with referral intake and referral management
  • Provide program planning for new and existing services
  • Support communication between the Program Director and various stakeholders
  • Develop, update, and implement company policies and procedures
  • Scan, file, and organize documentation
  • Provide direct client services, as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Support the hiring and training of Program Specialists, Case Supervisors and Team Support Specialists.
  • Review Abound Health Policies and Procedures to ensure that Pennsylvania Waiver, HIPAA, Division of Facility Services and the Division of Medical Assistance guidelines are met or exceeded for their respective offices.
  • Represent agency at Provider Fairs, Job Fairs, Provider Meetings and Interagency/DD Council meetings.
  • Assist the Program Director with ensuring Quality Assurance protocols are in place and utilized i.e. Quality Assurance Contacts, Complaint/Grievance – follow-up to the Quality Assurance steps must be completed and documented.
  • Assist the Program Director with ensuring Incident Reports are completed and submitted to the VP Clinical Compliance, Supports Coordinator, LME Rights Coordinator in the required time frame.
  • Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Abound Health’s Mission, Vision and Values Provide a positive atmosphere which facilitates growth and learning of coping skills.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide privacy and confidentiality of all participants’ records.
  • Assure that all staff have a productive and safe work environment by providing a positive atmosphere that facilitates growth and learning.
  • Assure participants are free from abuse, mistreatment, and/or neglect and report any incidents of such to supervisor.
  • Treat each participant with dignity and respect.
  • Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Abound Health’s philosophy and purpose.
  • Provide a positive atmosphere which facilitates growth and learning of coping skills.
  • Ensure the health and safety of clients is protected always
  • Ensure that business issues and concerns are addressed within a timely manner and with efficiency.
  • Perform duties as requested by Supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and 2 years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disability and/or autism or an associates degree and 4 years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disability and/or autism
  • At least 21 years of age
  • No substantiated findings of abuse and/or neglect
  • Valid Driver License
  • No substantiated findings of abuse and/or neglect
  • Criminal, PA State Police, FBI (if required), SAM, MEDI Check, Sex Offender, LEIE, PA Child Abuse History (if required), Driving Record checks clear of health and safety risks.
  • Reliable and safe transportation
  • Current Auto Insurance, Vehicle registration and inspection (if in applicable state)
