On-Call Direct Support Professional

We are actively seeking dedicated Caregivers to join our compassionate team. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in need, promoting their well-being and independence.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational realms
  • Assist client participation in leisure/recreational activities
  • Provide respite and companionship to offer relief to family or primary caregiver
  • Complete initial and ongoing training and staff development activities
  • Ability to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to work independently in the community and/or the client’s home
  • Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary, based on individual client needs
  • Passion and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) is preferred

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
  • Lifting may be required depending on individual client needs
  • CPR/First Aid Certification Training is provided by company

Pay: $16.50-$18 per hour

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 1-2 years (Preferred)

Work Location:

  • In person

Travel:

  • Travel is expected from the client's home into the community

  • Eligibility of some benefits are based on hours worked include:

**$1000 Signing Bonus Details:

  • $333 paid out after working 90 days with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $333 paid out after working 6 months (180 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $334 paid out after working 1 year (365 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • Applicant cannot have been employed by Abound Health (or any of our newly acquired companies) in the past 18 months
  • Signing bonus not applicable for Residential Services
  • Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the Signing Bonus
