Program Specialist

Department: Abound Health PA
Location: Sharon, PA

Abound Health is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Specialist to join our passionate team in Mercer, Pennsylvania. In this vital role, you’ll focus on caseloads within our Adult Day Program, Community Participation Supports (CPS), and Supported Employment services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines for Community Homes and Adult Training Facilities.

  • Serve as the primary contact for licensing bodies, managing inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.

  • Conduct clinical and supervisory visits to ensure quality care and compliance.

  • Review service documentation for accuracy and regulatory adherence.

  • Develop individualized goals and interventions to promote client growth and independence.

  • Inspire and support staff through training, performance evaluation, and coaching.

  • Oversee and coordinate transportation services, routes, and vehicle safety.

On-Call Rotation

All Administrators and Universal staff participate in the after-hours on-call rotation each month. During this rotation, participants select assignments for Position 1 and Position 2 throughout the month. These positions provide support by covering call-offs or open shifts as needed to ensure adequate staffing and continuity of care.

On-Call Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in IDD services OR Master’s in Social Work with internship/experience in IDD.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure.

  • Knowledge of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), task analysis, and goal development.

  • Familiarity with PA 6400, 2380, and 6100 Regulations preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Reliable transportation, current insurance, and ability to pass required background checks.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university required.

Compensation & Benefits

The target base salary range for this full-time position will be determined based on experience, location, and qualifications. Base pay is influenced by factors such as work location, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
