We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Driver to join our team of Direct Support Professionals. Position Overview
As a Driver at Abound Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and respectful transportation for individuals with IDD. You’ll be more than a driver—you’ll be a trusted companion, helping clients access essential services, participate in community life, and maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport individuals to and from home, day programs, medical appointments, and community outings
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles as needed
• Monitor and ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers during transit
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of assigned vehicles
• Follow daily route schedules and communicate proactively with team members regarding delays or concerns
• Accurately complete documentation, including incident reports and daily logs
• Participate in initial and ongoing training and professional development
• Work independently in the community while adapting to changing transportation needs
• Demonstrate patience, reliability, and attentiveness to individual needs
• Driving in inclement weather is REQUIRED for this role

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks including criminal, driving record, and healthcare registry
• CPR/First Aid Certification (training provided upon hire)
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers, depending on client needs
• Prior experience supporting individuals with IDD is preferred but not required
• Minimum 1 year of transportation experience preferred

Compensation

• Starting Pay: $16.50 per hour

Schedule

Driver 1: Monday - Friday

• 6:30–9:30 AM
• 1:30–4:00 PM

Driver 2:

• Monday: 6:00–10:30 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
• Tuesday: 6:30–9:40 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00–10:30 AM, 1:00–4:30 PM
• Thursday: 6:00–10:30 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
• Friday: 6:00–10:30 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
