Abound Health is seeking a compassionate and reliable female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young woman living at home with her family. This role is ideal for someone experienced in the IDD field who can provide structure, consistency, and positive engagement in both home and community settings.

About the Individual
The client is a friendly, active young woman with a wide range of interests, including shopping, spending time with her dog, and participating in fun community activities. She also enjoys space and history topics. She communicates verbally and does not require personal care or lifting support.

She benefits from support with:
• Practicing appropriate emotional regulation
• Maintaining healthy routines and staying active
• Building confidence socializing outside of family
• Staying consistent with daily schedules and ADLs
• Following her Behavior Support Plan

A DSP who can set clear, firm boundaries and follow structured behavioral strategies is essential.

Position Responsibilities
• Provide companionship and engage in preferred activities
• Support emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Encourage healthy habits and daily routines
• Assist with completing ADLs (no personal care required)
• Promote socialization and community participation
• Follow the Behavior Support Plan consistently
• Maintain documentation as required

Schedule
The schedule is flexible and will be finalized during a meet and greet with the family.
The client would ideally like CPS support 5 days per week for 4–5 hours per day, but is open to any level of support available at this time.

What We’re Looking For
• Female DSP strongly preferred
• Experience in the IDD field
• Ability to set and maintain firm boundaries
• Comfortable following a Behavior Support Plan
• Patient, consistent, and reliable
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Comfortable with dogs

Behavior & Care Needs
• Medium-level behavior support
• No personal care
• No lifting requirements
• Dog in the home

Compensation
• $19-$20/HR
• Weekly pay
• Paid onboarding and training
