Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Part-Time Opportunity

$17.00–$25.00/HR | Growth Into Full-Time Possible

Abound Health is hiring a compassionate, reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a woman living independently in her own apartment in Sellersville, PA. She is independent with most activities of daily living (ADLs) but benefits from support with household tasks, skill-building, and community-based routines.

This is a part-time role with the potential to grow into full-time hours.

About the Role

As a DSP, you will provide one-on-one support in her home and community. Your work helps her maintain independence, build daily living skills, and stay engaged in a safe, supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone patient, dependable, and skilled at teaching and encouraging independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily living skill development
• Assist with laundry at the local laundromat
• Teach folding, organizing, and putting away clothing
• Support with cooking and meal preparation
• Assist with home cleaning and organization
• Encourage independence and confidence in daily routines
• Follow support plans and document progress
• Provide companionship and community engagement
• Work independently in home and community settings

What We’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physical ability to assist with light tasks as needed

Compensation

• $17.00–$25.00 per hour
• Opportunity for additional hours as the role grows

Schedule

This part-time schedule includes:

• Tuesday: 2pm – 6pm
• Thursday: 2pm – 6pm
• Saturday: 11am – 3pm

Additional hours may become available as needs grow.

Experience

• One year of caregiving experience preferred (not required—training provided)
