Job Description:

As the Controller at Abound Health, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting. You will be responsible for managing month-end processes for multi-state financials, meticulously reviewing accruals, and ensuring their correctness. Additionally, you will prepare insightful financial commentary, analyzing trends and anomalies against prior year, prior month, and budgetary expectations. Forecasting on both a trailing twelve-month and calendar year basis will be a key aspect of your role, providing critical insights into the company's financial trajectory.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee month-end processes for multi-state financials, ensuring accuracy of accruals and adherence to accounting standards.
2. Prepare comprehensive financial commentary, analyzing trends and anomalies against prior periods and budgetary targets.
3. Develop periodic forecasts for future financial performance on both a trailing twelve-month and calendar year basis.
4. Coordinate the submission of covenants to senior debt lenders, ensuring compliance with financial agreements.
5. Facilitate communication with annual audit partners, providing necessary explanations and responses to inquiries.
6. Ensure robust balance sheet reconciliations are performed in a timely manner, maintaining the integrity of financial statements.
7. Implement and enhance financial controls surrounding high-volume activities, such as credit cards and authorization documentation, to mitigate risks.
8. Drive automation initiatives to streamline financial processes and reduce the time to close financials each month.
9. Model and account for reimbursement rate changes and corresponding pay rate adjustments, ensuring go-forward viability of the company.
10. Lead financial integration of newly acquired companies and resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
• 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles, with experience in multi-state financial reporting.
• Proven ability to prepare insightful financial commentary and forecasts, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience managing relationships with external auditors and lenders.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulae, with quick keying abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and embrace automation initiatives.
